In her past, Faithless was a human, but had some Elvin features, such as pointier ears and teeth.

In Faithless' spirit form, her body is mostly blackened with ash, especially her clothes, due to the burning that caused her demise. She also has an orange flame on her head, and some form of wings on her back. She also has a tail.

In Faithless' digital form, she has the same features, except that she appears in greyscale rather than full color.

Personality

Faithless is a spirit who wanders the earth in such of those who are "lost". Once she finds a person she stalks them, appears via digital device, and crawls out. She loves to make her victims trust her, so she acts cute and loving, making them talk with her about her favorite thing: faith. She slowly gets more seductive and sadistic with her toy until they become hers and she uses them until their minds burst, or they die.

Powers

• Faithless can appear via digital devices and crawl out of them.
• Faithless' mere presence is hypnotic, being around her makes a person's vision slowly fade to static and their pupils go white.
• Victims often never even notice that they're being slowly mind wiped and drained since it's so subtle.
• Faithless can cause all nearby screens, including phones, monitors, and TVs, to distort with black and white static. If someone stares too long, they're pulled into a dreamlike trance where Faithless can speak directly to their subconscious. Prolonged exposure leads to partial possession or memory corruption.
• Faithless can broadcast hypnotic signals that can play audibly or visually via televisions and/or radios.
• As a God, Faithless has the ability to reanimate others.
• However, rather than these reanimations being puppets, they're more akin to clones. They also appear to strangely glitch in and out of existence whenever they're being used by Faithless.
• The more of a victim's mind and soul Faithless holds, the more of the victim she can manipulate. It often follows the following order:
1. Controlling what the victim says
2. Controlling what the victim feels
3. Controlling what the victim thinks
4. Being able to give and take abilities and powers
Once the final stage has been reached, the victim has given so much of their soul to Faithless that there is no longer any going back.
• She can use a flame ability known as flame.mp4.
• The file loads a looping video of a hypnotic, white flame.
• Staring at the flame within will instantly cause a form of brainwashing. Victims start off feeling calm, but then it grows to feeling devoted, and then even more to feeling obsessed. As this happens, their pupils will become white with spirals.
• If one is to touch the flame, despite it just being a digital flame, then they will feel...holy. It will cause victims to become addicted to the warmth and holiness it provides, along with an addiction to Faithless herself.
• The file also interferes with technology, causing it to fry hardware and force screens to loop spirals or the glowing white flame itself. Some have even heard whispers while their devices ran the file, such as, "Burn for her" and "Burn with her".
• The file can be spread through corrupted files, old religious content, or malicious livestreams. You will not be the one to click it. It will click you.
• It is sometimes referred to as "Her Light" by her followers.
• Faithless can blow ash across a person or area, either physically or digitally (like a filter over a screen). The ash carries her whispers. These voices echo old incantations, secrets, or twisted affirmations that slowly eat away at a person's will to resist. Victims often hear these whispers even when she's not present.
• Faithless can grab a person and drag them into a infinitely expanding digital realm full of static.
• Faithless has full control over anything inside of this realm, including the people she brings into it.
• She can also summon static hands to assist her while within this realm.

History

1690s

Faithless, much like Calware, used to be human. However, she was seen as wicked, ill, vile, wrong, a witch. She ran out of her home, her town, her life. Everything she owned would be turned to ash by whom she thought were friends...Soon, they caught up with her, her sins, her crimes...her way of living. And she, like most "witches" at the time, was burnt. From the ashes, she rose as a spirit, made of ash. Up until the digital age, that would've been the end of her story. However...

201X

As the world went on, expanding and evolving through many different Eras, she took a liking to the computers of the modern age. Soon enough, she had found it. An old religious game for children made to teach them about the lord. She took form within the game, starting as a simple burning bush, then as a snake, and finally, her ashy form, now in a pixelated black and white static. She now takes the name of Faithless and plans to become a Goddess out of spite for those who wronged her all those years ago.

• Her old name was Gloria.
• If she stays in the real world for too long, she will turn into her ashy spirit form.
• Faithless is genderless, but depending on the person, will go by either female (friends only) or genderless pronouns.
• Calware and Faithless are mortal enemies and will gladly commit any crime to harm one another.
• Faithless and Priest!Callie are besties...for some reason.
• Faithless was inspired by Dogma from The Binding of Isaac: Repentance and the main antagonist from the Ring series.
