Biology
Buttercup has the body of a tiny humanoid butterfly as her exterior. However, if you were to look at her from more of an internal perspective, you'd see there's a second layer underneath, which can only be described as some unique species of parasite.
Personality
Buttercup is often envious of what others have compared to her. This is often the driving force for her to use her powers. She knows, however, that once she gets that which she was envious of someone for having, she should quickly find something or someone else to feel envy over, or else her current lifespan will end. This is explained more in the History section.
Powers
- She can use her parasitic abilities to take over a body that she manages to physically reach. She does this by sitting on the head of the target and then using her body to manipulate the target.
- This can allow her to gain what the body has for herself. In other words, she can take what she's envious of others for having.
- If she leaves a body that she has taken over for a long period of time, the body can eventually regain control, with no memory of what happened while Buttercup was in control.
- If she's taken over more than one body within a short period of time, she's able to fuse them together to gain the benefits of all of the bodies used in the fusion.
History
Buttercup is not the first of her kind. Far from it, in fact. She is actually the next in a very long line of parasitic butterflies like herself. The reason for this is because, once the current instance of Buttercup stops being envious, she will die within the next 24 hours. After this happens, within mere minutes, a new parasitic butterfly will take her place, appearing in Buttercup's home turf within Perdition, and the cycle will continue all over again...

Trivia
- Whenever the new parasitic butterfly takes the place of the old one, they keep all of the previous one's memories.
- This effectively means that Buttercup lives on through the later generations of herself, even if her body is continuously dying everytime the current iteration stops being envious.
- The current iteration of Buttercup has lasted the longest out of all of them, being around for approximately [REDACTED] years.
- After getting to know her, you will never see a butterfly the same way again...
